About The Upstairs Quilter
My name is David Hoesch and I would, first like to thank you for visiting our site. Although I am the long-arm quilter of "The Upstairs Quilter", no small business runs without the support of others, in my case it is my family. In fact it was my family, most notable my wife, that introduced me to long-arm quilting. She was constantly making tops, getting the prefect backing; send them out to a "quilter" and get a piece of art work in return. Some we have kept and use during the winter months but like most, a lot went to friends as gifts and to those less fortunate for winter warmth. She made the mistake of introducing me to her quilter and one look at the machine and artistry involved and I was hooked. Being in my "middle" age I had been looking for something that would allow me to be somewhat independent, I felt that I had found something that I could do, enjoy what I was doing, and be somewhat creative. Next came the next step, the search for the machine that would fit the bill for our needs and plans for the future. I had no idea how many types, styles, and features were being offered. Oh the quilt shows we attended and the machines we saw! The decision was a tough one to be honest but we eventually settled on a GAMMILL OPTIIMUM. We then decided to add the computer-guided capability for future needs.
Having said all that, I would like to assure you that we have the highest levels of respect and quality stitching and will treat your top as a treasure that it is. It is your treasure and you deserve the utmost care, quilting expertise, and level of quality. I have been long-arm quilting for awhile and while I don't have "years" of experience, I am constantly looking for better techniques, attend the latest factory training, and with the addition of the STATLER STITCHER COMPUTER-GUIDED SYSTEM, I can provide not only the highest quality freehand stitching but I am able to offer custom patterns that enhance the theme of your quilt top at no or little extra costs to you.
